Industrialist Sunjay Kapur passed away in June of this year after suffering a heart attack during a polo match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, England.

Recently, an old interview featuring Priya Sachdev, Sunjay Kapur's third wife, has emerged online.

In her interview with Kin and Kindness on YouTube, Priya recounted her initial meeting with Sunjay while he was still wed to actress Karisma Kapoor.

"I believe I had just gone through a divorce. I had returned home, and we were introduced by mutual friends. We met on a flight, where we began conversing. I was aware of him, and he was aware of me. We were not particularly close friends, but we found ourselves on the same flight. I owned a store in Mumbai and was traveling for work. At that time, he was married, and his wife and children resided in Bombay," she stated.

Priya elaborated that Sunjay's marriage to Karisma was "not a traditional marriage" and that he often traveled between Delhi and Mumbai to see his children.

"I would describe it as an unconventional marriage, but one from which he had two wonderful children, whom we cherish deeply. Today, we form a beautiful blended family, and that is how we met, leading to our marriage in 2017," she continued.

Sunjay and Karisma were married in 2002 and divorced in 2016. Karisma accused Sunjay of domestic violence, while he alleged that she married him for his wealth. The couple shares two children.

In the meantime, the legal proceedings concerning Sunjay Kapur's estate have intensified. Recent documents submitted to the Delhi High Court indicate that Sunjay remained involved in the lives of his ex-wife Karisma Kapoor and their children even after their divorce.

WhatsApp messages and accompanying documents reveal that he played an active role in helping them secure Portuguese citizenship.

According to News18, Karisma's children have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court requesting a portion of their late father's estate, which is estimated at 30,000 crore. The court has issued notices to the defendants and scheduled the next hearing for October 9.
