A New Surge in 2025: $11 Million Acquired

As of August 12, 2025, Pronto has obtained $11 million in a new funding round, co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital, with ongoing participation from Bain Capital Ventures. This infusion of funding highlights robust investor belief in Pronto's fast-expanding strategy in India's on-demand home services sector.

In mid-May 2025, earlier this year, Pronto secured $2 million in a seed funding round led by Bain Capital Ventures, achieving a post-money valuation of $12.5 million.

The company, established by Anjali Sardana (an ex-investor at Bain Capital and 8VC), commenced in late 2024 and functions in Gurugram, providing services such as cleaning, laundry, and vegetable chopping with a guaranteed 10-minute delivery time.

Pronto’s mission emphasizes speed, convenience, and empathy for both users and workers. It departs from traditional gig models by offering stable shifts rather than commission-based pay, and prioritizes worker support with training, government ID verification, and upcoming benefits like health insurance.

In the ensuing months, Pronto aimed to introduce 10 additional hubs throughout Gurugram, recruit 700 employees and 50 corporate team members, and extend its operations to cities such as Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Implications for Pronto and the Quick-Commerce Industry

Accelerated Growth: The funding increase allows Pronto to strengthen its presence in Gurugram and boldly expand into key cities such as Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Operational Enhancement: Employing additional qualified personnel and experts increases dependability and service excellence.

Worker-First Philosophy: Its differing approach—emphasizing worker respect, equitable pay, skill development, and long-term advantages—distinguishes Pronto in an industry frequently condemned for gig worker abuse.

Quick-Commerce Demand: The steady investment highlights the growing momentum for ultra-fast services in urban India, driven by the success of on-demand platforms in delivery and home services
