A Compact, Curated Experience
Location: Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, West Delhi.
Size: A cozy 15,000 sq ft—modest compared to IKEA’s massive warehouse-style outlets in Bengaluru or Hyderabad, but packed with style and functionality.
Items: More than 2,000 home furnishings and décor products displayed, with about 800 ready for instant pickup.
The “One Click, 30 Minutes from Here” Vision
As a component of IKEA's updated "city store" approach, this concept aims at densely populated urban locations, making IKEA's appeal and convenience more accessible to residences—eliminating the necessity for long trips to large stores.
This launch in Delhi aligns with IKEA's extensive omnichannel strategy, integrating e-commerce, large blue-box locations, smaller urban shops, and "Plan & Order Points" for personalized areas.
A Flavor of Sweden, Right Nearby
Immerse yourself in Scandinavian shopping and dining all in one location—inviting interiors, clever storage solutions, and a friendly Swedish Café offering classic meatballs, muffins, cheesecakes, and more.
Customers can experience interactive exhibits and digital design tools, along with customized interior planning services—making the IKEA experience personal and suited to the unique urban residences of Delhi.
Regional Charm & Progressive Drive
The store layout showcases Delhi sensibilities—adaptable modular kitchens, designs aligned with Delhites’ preferences, and inviting materials that are both familiar and modern. IKEA India is stepping up local sourcing, aiming to increase made-in-India products from 30% to 50%, enhancing affordability, sustainability, and local jobs.
This store importantly comes after IKEA’s online debut in Delhi-NCR earlier in 2025, signaling a new stage in its northern growth.
What Awaits: Larger Retailers on the Horizon
The store in Delhi is only the starting point. IKEA is currently building two complete-format experience centers:
Gurugram: Situated in Sector 47, part of a forthcoming Ingka Centre (mall) anticipated to launch shortly.
Noida: A comparably sized store is envisioned for a later phase.
IKEA’s entry into Delhi introduces the worldwide brand’s principles—design, cost-effectiveness, and creativity—to the center of the capital. Through careful design, regional customization, and a focus on community, this store aims to transform the daily shopping experience for the people of Delhi.
