MUJI Makeup Is Now Easier to Find in the Philippines—Here Are the Products Worth Checking Out

Manila

MUJI’s minimalist approach has expanded well beyond stationery and home essentials.

The Japanese retailer introduced its broader makeup collection in the Philippines when MUJI SM Aura opened on June 26, 2026, initially making the range exclusive to the new BGC branch. The collection follows a “Natural and Healthy Look” concept, focusing on sheer, wearable colors and compact packaging designed to fit MUJI’s storage system. Products introduced locally included eyeshadow, pressed and loose powders, lip products, eyeliner, mascara, cheek color and nail care. The good news for shoppers is that the line has since expanded beyond SM Aura: by August, MUJI Philippines was already listing selected makeup at several other branches and online.

For an easy introduction, the four-color Eye Shadow, launched locally at ₱490, comes in wearable combinations such as Gold Brown, Smoky Pink, Lavender, and Coral, with shades designed to be worn individually or layered together. The Lip Essence, introduced at ₱390, is another practical pick for anyone who prefers simple everyday lip care, with moisturizing ingredients including apricot kernel oil and sodium hyaluronate. There is also a pen-style Nail Care Oil designed to moisturize nails and soften dry cuticles. MUJI Philippines has since identified products such as its lip essence and cuticle oil among the beauty items gaining attention from local shoppers.

For setting makeup, MUJI launched a Pressed Powder at ₱690 and a Loose Powder at ₱850. The loose formula contains ingredients such as jojoba seed oil and shea butter and is available with refill options, making it one of the collection’s more practical choices for regular users. The Pressed Powder also launched with SPF 33 PA+++, although powder SPF is best treated as supplemental protection rather than a replacement for properly applied sunscreen. While the original collection was promoted around gentle, skin-conscious beauty, individual skin tolerance still varies. For shoppers who prefer minimalist packaging, natural-looking finishes, and beauty products that launched below ₱850, MUJI’s expanding makeup line is worth exploring.
