Korean niche fragrance house BORNTOSTANDOUT® has officially arrived in the Philippines, opening its first local boutique—and its first standalone store in Southeast Asia—at Glorietta 4 in Makati City on September 10, 2026.

Founded by creative director Jun Lim in 2022, the Seoul-based brand has built its identity around self-expression, nonconformity and fragrances that deliberately avoid playing it safe. Its Manila boutique brings that personality to life through a striking red-and-white interior, with white perfume bottles displayed against the brand’s signature red backdrop. Lim also traveled to Manila for the opening, marking the brand’s entry into the Philippine market through distributor Scent & Beauté.

Even the packaging carries references to Korean culture. BORNTOSTANDOUT says its white bottles reinterpret the shapes of Joseon-era white porcelain drinking vessels, while its color palette places white—associated by the brand with purity and order—against red, which it uses to represent taboo and transgression. The fragrances themselves follow the same provocative approach, with names such as Fig Porn, Dirty Milk, Drunk Lovers and Angels’ Powder. Its core Eau de Parfum collection carries a notably high 30% to 40% fragrance concentration, according to the brand, and Philippine prices currently start at ₱14,350 for 50 ml and ₱20,000 for 100 ml.

Those who prefer something quieter can explore Eau Intimité, a softer collection designed to sit closer to the skin and work well for layering, priced locally at ₱13,750 for 100 ml. The Glorietta boutique also carries other parts of the BTSO universe, including its Dirty & Sticky and Dark & Drunk collections, alongside body care and home fragrance products; recent coverage also notes the presence of its more concentrated Extrait Extrême range. For fragrance fans who previously had to order the brand overseas, the Makati opening means its unconventional scents can finally be tested in person before committing to a bottle.
