Trade Sales Representative

About this role

Sales and Business Development

1. Identify and develop new trade accounts including wholesalers, sari-sari stores, and institutional buyers.

2. Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.

3. Conduct regular market visits to monitor product availability, pricing, and competitor activity.

4. Promote and sell company products to both new and existing clients in the trade segment.

Customer Relationship Management

5. Maintain positive relationships with retail and trade customers by addressing their needs and concerns.

6. Provide after-sales support and ensure timely response to inquiries and complaints.

7. Educate customers on product usage, pricing, and promotions.

Operational and Administrative Duties

8. Submit accurate sales reports, daily route coverage updates, and market insights.

9. Ensure timely collection of payments and compliance with agreed payment terms.

10. Coordinate with the warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

III. Qualifications

Education Certificates / Licenses

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

• Food Safety Certification

• Driver’s License (if required for field visits)

Physical Requirements Work Experience

• Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork

• At least 1–2 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG or food-related trade

• Experience handling retail or distributor accounts is a plus

Soft Skills Technical Skills

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Goal-driven and results-oriented.

• Adaptable and resourceful in managing field-related challenges

• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
