Does every deal need a boost?
No. A deal can be published and discovered without a boost. A deal boost is an optional promotion attached to that specific deal. You cannot create a standalone deal boost without a deal, and unavailable or expired deals are not eligible for new promotion.
Which deal boost should I choose?
Choose Next nearby roundup for one timely sponsored reminder. Choose repeated roundups for 3, 4 or 5 reminders when the deal lasts long enough. Feature this deal puts it into featured/local-home rotation. Top of category & search places it in sponsored rotation above matching results.
Pick the goal that fits how long the offer lasts and how people are likely to find it. No option guarantees a fixed position, a number of customers or sales.
How do I boost a deal?
Start with the actual offer in Business → My Deals. The orange Boost action opens the deal-specific options.
- Choose Boost on the published deal.
- Select the promotion goal, available rounds and reach where applicable.
- Review the placement preview, exact dates, quote and spending limit.
- Complete the confirmation flow, then check the deal’s boost status and the Boosts list.
How can I tell if a deal is already boosted?
Check its boost indicator in My Deals and open the linked campaign details in Boosts. A pending checkout is not the same as a confirmed active campaign. Check the start and end times, whether notifications were stopped and whether the spending limit is exhausted.
Why does a longer deal cost more to boost?
Featured and sponsored-search deal boosts are priced from the remaining deal duration. They use hourly proration, round partial hours up and have a one-hour minimum. Notification boosts are priced by scheduled round instead. Review the current quote rather than assuming every deal has the same boost price.
Why can’t I choose 3, 4 or 5 notifications?
There must be enough future roundup cutoffs before the deal expires. A short offer may only qualify for one round, or none. Review the eligible dates shown. You can choose fewer rounds or extend the actual offer if the business can honour it for longer.
What is the deal spending limit?
The limit caps the deal’s lifetime reference spend across qualified deal views and booked boosts. It is not a sales target or a per-report-period allowance. Pending boost checkouts can reserve part of the limit. Review the budget panel to see what has been used and what remains.
What happens when the deal’s spending limit is used up?
Eligible sponsored placements and future boost roundups stop using additional budget. The ordinary deal can remain visible until its own expiry, and outcomes can still be recorded. Increasing the limit can allow still-eligible boosts to continue; it does not undo an explicit Stop notifications action.
If I extend a deal, does its existing boost extend too?
No. Existing campaigns retain the schedule and expiry saved when they were booked. Extending or reusing the deal does not automatically buy extra placement time or add notification rounds. Review the existing campaign and choose a new eligible boost if needed.
What happens to a boost if I pause or sell out the deal?
Paused, sold-out, expired, deleted or closed-business deals are excluded from eligible public promotion. The historical campaign and receipt remain. Resuming a valid deal does not move the original campaign dates or recreate rounds that have already passed.
Why can’t I see my boosted deal in search?
Sponsored placement still needs to match the visitor’s location and search. Check the campaign is confirmed and within its dates, the deal is active, and the budget remains available. Placements rotate; a boost does not mean your deal appears first on every page load.
Are ad boosts and deal boosts the same?
They share management, checkout records, Performance and Billing, but their options serve different goals. Deal boosts account for short expiry, nearby notification rounds and remaining offer duration. Ad promotions have their own packages and terms. Read the preview for the item you are promoting.
Does stopping notifications refund the boost?
The stop action cancels that campaign’s future notification rounds. It does not rewrite the original receipt or automatically issue a refund. Review the specific transaction’s status and terms for any payment question; current credited or simulated flows must not be mistaken for a settled charge.
